The President of the victorious FC Ifeanyi Ubah, the indomitable Anambra Warriors, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah who has been with the bereaved Offor family in Oraifite since Thursday 17th November 2016 , stated that he is still mourning the departed Pa Benneth Offor who was the father of Sir Emeka Offor even as he goes for condolence today.
According to the altruist Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah on why he hasbeen so active on the funeral,
"late Nnakaibeya was a father figure to me and his first son Sir Emeka Offor is like a senior brother to me. You can now see why I cannot fall short of participating actively in the burial ceremony in conformity with my strong ties with the family. I see myself also mourning like any of the Offors. " Ubah said.
Ubah who was with Offor family throughout the Thursday night was also there on Friday through the night after the close of the burial activities for theday, stated that the late Offor who served thecountry as a fine police officer deserved every respect.
" He was not a liability to the Nation and humanity while he was alive rather he was a great asset, he served this Nation creditably well as an officer and retired after 30 years of service.
He never abdicated his family responsibility. Little wonder he raised
his children responsibly and gave them a quantum leap to life, this had shown that Nnakaibeya did not fail in
his role as a father.
Many have been blessed through this Offor family and you can see why many of us are
here to pay last respect to this great Iroko while mourning with the family" he said.
Ubah who will be paying a condolence visit to the bereaved Offor family today stated that one can only be remembered for what he or she did while alive especially as it relates to humanity and society.
Ubah who thereafter while talking to the pressmen, called on the general public to strive towards making contributions that would improve the lots of humanity and our society.
"One of the greatest legacies anyone can leave behind is a legacy that improves humanity and the society at large. My prayer is that we continue to strive to make this society better than we met it as a people.Let our efforts advance humanity and improve our society". Ubah stressed.
Ubah also beckoned on God to continue to be with the bereaved offor family on the death of their Patriarch, even as the mourning intensifies.
"My Prayer is that God will continue to console the Offors on the demise of their patriarch who was also
like a father to me .May his soul rest in peace; Amen
" Ubah prays.
