Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, yesterday attributed his election last week as Speaker to the will of God.
Dogara had emerged Speaker last Tuesday after defeating former minority leader, Femi Gbajabiamila (APC-Lagos), by 182 votes to 174.
Speaking during a thanksgiving service at Living Faith Church(Winners) Goshen City, Karu, Nasarawa State, Dogara said if not for the teachings he received for 27 years in the church, he wouldn’t have emerged Speaker
“I have been a member of this church since 1988 even before I went to the university. The teaching I received here has defined my life,” he said.
“If it were not for the teachings we receive on this altar, maybe this victory may not have come. We had Goliaths in the run to the election, there were Tobias and Sambalats. We had Baalams, who were asked to curse us, but God is with us.
