This is another international disgrace: current Nigeria Minister of Budget Udo Udoma doesn't know the exact amount of Nigeria's total debt.
At the opening session of the Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja yesterday, CNN anchor Zain Asher, asked Nigeria's Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma, during an interview “How much is Nigeria’s total debt?”. The minister was short of words and in his response said: “I can’t tell you the exact figure. I will have to get back to you on that.”
Zain Asher further said “But you are the minister of budget” However, to quantify the question asked by Zain Asher Mr. Udoma (Minister of Budget) answered by saying that different committees were saddled with the responsibility of assembling Nigeria’s debt and as such, he could not give an exact figure. Even the audience wooed the minister for his response.
