Twin explosions rocked Maiduguri, Borno state capital earlier today as about nine people have been confirmed dead with 24 people injured. The first explosion occurred close to Bakassi IDP camp while the second blast was close to the NNPC mega station along the highway. Emergency response teams have evacuated the bodies of the dead victims and taken the injured to hospitals within Maiduguri metropolis.
