I did the Umunya bridge, not you ~ Peter Obi replies Obiano.
Again, Obiano lied to ndi Anambra.
Must Obiano rule with lies, deceit and propaganda.

Yesterday, Obiano's spokesperson, Hon Ifeanyi Aniagoh posted a picture of Umunya bridge and claimed that it was done by Obiano, and today Peter Obi said that Obiano lied, that he did the bridge.

On Umudioka-Umunya road and Bridge.

As usual, some people have vowed to make a career of lying and propaganda.
Just yesterday, I saw flashing the pictures of Umunya Bridge as one of the bridges recently completed by the Government of Anambra State.

I have learnt not to join issues with them. I pity them, because these are young men who, rather than concentrate on their future, are here posting things that are unimaginable. They deserve pity because they are even secretly deluded that they are recording “Progress in their lives.” Instead of young men from school to chart career parts for themselves, they are busy running around the Boy’s Quarters’ of power (Who will admit them in the corridors?)
Regarding the Umunya Bridge, let it be on record that the bridge is among the 30 bridges the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi completed before bowing out on the 17th of March, 2014. What remained  of the Bridge as at the time Obi left was linking the roads to the bridge.

To clear all doubts, let us venture a brief history about the road and the two bridges.
The road, fully known as Nteje-Umunya-Aforigwe-Umudioka-Ogidi Road was awarded initially to Daniels Construction Company. Because of the need to finish it within record time, it was later divided between Daniels and New Idea Construction Companies. Daniels was given from Umunya to Umudioka and New Idea from Umunya to Nteje axis. The initial total contract sum was   N856, 411,438.10 Million, which was later revised to N1, 083,119,486.33 Billion. Mr. Peter Obi paid the total of 980,517,350.05 Million on the road, remaining the balance of N 102,602,136.28 Million, which would be covered on completion of areas of the road around the two bridges.
The road was designed by Fistraw Designs Associate.
The road has two bridges, one at Umunya and another at Nteje.

The road was 98% completed, because it remained asphalting about 50 feet along the completed Umunya Bridge and asphalting areas along the Nteje Bridge, which is yet to be done.
The Umunya Bridge was awarded as a separate contract to TAMAD Construction Company, with the plan to award the Nteje Bridge to him afterwards.

It is therefore shocking when some people who do not know anything about the road start to distort facts. I wanted to ignore them because the distortion, as far as I Know, did not come from the Government, but since they use social media that has wide reach, there is need to set the record straight through   factual details that if ignored, will be a threat to the empire of truth.
If anybody wants to celebrate a bridge completed, let the person do the remaining Nteje Bridge and all of us will come forward and celebrate it – the development of our State.

Let me use this opportunity to appeal to those whose stock in trade is the propagation of falsehoods to stop it. What do they benefit from that? This was how they tried in the past to claim some of the roads Mr. Peter Obi completed even before leaving office – such as Zik’s Avenue, Old Nkpor-Amawbia Road, Nimo-Okacha road, Head Bridge-Zik’s Round About, Awkuzu-University-Achalla road, etc-  for reasons only they themselves know.

We must stop this nonsense!!!!!!
